There are so many podcasts specifically created for, about and with writers, and I listen to a few.

However, Lore, is not one of those.

Lore is for the curious and it is full of snippets of human life that will set your writer’s synapsis tingling.

Keep a pad handy as I guarantee you will hear things you thought were fiction, things you can turn into fiction and things that are so bizarre no-one will believe it if you use it in a story.

It is a podcast I dip into, taking a deep breath first, rather than listening to on a regular basis. I peruse the titles such as Predictable or Contained, read the blurb and pick one. I have never been disappointed. Disgusted, horrified, amazed and awe-struck, but never disappointed.

What more could a writer wish for than insights in to why we do things, where folklore has its birth, what coincidences have occurred and how humans react to the strange.

Each episode is about thirty minutes long.
